Charley's Grilled Subs Job Description

Charley's Grilled Subs is a chain of restaurants known for their Philly Cheese Steaks, gourmet fries, cold lemonade that is fresh, and most of all, its highly efficient and friendly employees. Employees are encouraged to succeed in this industry so they can be eligible for promotions and one day become a manager themselves. The company is known for its huge number of independent workers. Most of the workers actually started out as a team member serving the famous Philly Cheese Steaks. Most of the skills their employees acquired were from the technical training on all aspects of the job. The employees are always being coached so they can better themselves with the customers and the company. The goal is to handle all customers in under two minutes while avoiding customer complaints due to unhygienic presentation of their orders.

General Manager Job Description

We are looking for somebody who knows how to get sales results, and motivate their staff to meet goals, and make happy customers. A manager will be in charge of all employees while maintaining outstanding WOW customer service. He or she will handle opening and closing of the restaurant each day. Will make weekly schedules for employees, order supplies and check supplies in when they arrive, balance books and against cash flow, handle any problems as they arise, hire and properly train employees, making sure everyone is adhering to the handbook at all times, and make deposits at the bank. Since this is a very fast paced restaurant the supervisor will have to be swift on their feet and aware of everything that is going on at all times in order to keep the restaurant accident free. Since this is fast paced the managers are expected to cope with all the pressures and stress.

Shift Managers

A shift manager is responsible for the overall shift operations, sales performance and execution of in a store. In the absence of the Manager, the Shift Manager effectively is the store leader.
Lead and manage shifts while acting as manager-in-charge of store. Partner with Manager to coach, counsel and direct team members. Perform all cash handling requirements of a manager in charge including close-outs, safe accountability and cash drops. Conduct inventories and process orders as required.

Team Member Job Description

A team member will be responsible for taking orders from the customers and serving the orders. They will also help with the cooking and adding the fresh toppings to the subs. This is a fast paced restaurant so the team member will have to be fast on their feet, be able to pay attention to details, hand out samples to the customers, and help with all cleaning at all times. The team member will also have to balance their drawers at the end of their shift. They are also expected to be real team players because it is what management is all about.
